BE FERNÁNDEZ - 1993 MADRID, SPAIN

A self-taught artist and advertising graduate from the Complutense University of Madrid and IULM in Milan, Be lives and works in Madrid, Spain.

Passionate about painting since childhood, she refined her craft through dedicated practice and observation. At age 17, she began pasting large-scale drawings onto city walls under the cover of night, driven by an obsession with connecting with strangers through art before the era of modern social media. This early street work motivated her to paint daily and develop her signature aesthetic.

Be first learned to draw by studying the vintage comics her father kept in his room, an influence reflected in her use of vibrant colors, sharp contrasts, and expressive textures. Her inspiration is drawn from the contemporary city, incorporating constant references to modern life—people, places, and words—that she transforms into compelling visual imagery.

After starting as a freelance illustrator for boutique projects, Be transitioned into a full-time career as an illustrator, visual artist, and muralist. She has collaborated with global brands such as Netflix, Adidas, Miu Miu, Porsche, and Coca-Cola, as well as publications like Vogue and Forbes.

Since 2023, she has shared her expertise by teaching art workshops at New York University in Madrid.
